The Web single sign-on (SSO) system integrates with the IDP core software module via an SSO integration point and provides the basis for the IDP core software module to generate SAML authentication statements about users. To realize the single sign-on benefit of federated identity management, an SSO system must already exist and must already be used to authenticate your users for other purposes.
